Preview: Egypt vs. England

Egypt vs. England

England must beat Egypt on Saturday to stand a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages of the Under-20 World Cup.

Peter Taylor's side currently sit third in Group E, two points adrift of Iraq and Chile after their 1-1 draw with the latter on Wednesday.

Egypt have been eliminated from the competition after losing both of their first two matches.

Coach Rabie Yassin could be tempted to make changes to his side, with Ahmed Mohamed and Hossam Ghaly pushing for starts in midfield.

England could name the same side which started against Chile, with goalscorer Harry Kane retaining his place up front.

Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse is expected to start, while John Lundstram could be recalled in attack, replacing Luke Williams.

Recent form:

Egypt: LWWLL

England: DDLDD

Possible lineups:

Egypt: Mossad; Kahraba, Yasser, Ramy, Mahmoud; Gomaa, Mahmoud, Ghaly, Osama; Ahmed, Trezeget

England: Johnstone; Potts, Thorpe, Dier, Stones; Ward-Prowse, Coady, Reach, Barkley; Kane, Lundstram

Sports Mole says: 1-3
