England caretaker manager Stuart Pearce has admitted that he is disappointed with his team's 3-2 defeat to the Netherlands at Wembley Stadium.

Gary Cahill and Ashley Young had drawn the hosts level after being 2-0 down, but Arjen Robben's deflected effort in stoppage time won it for the Dutch.

"Maybe there was a lack of belief, which is something we have got to get into the squad going forward," Pearce told ITV Sport.

"In the end we were a bit disappointed to lose the game, but we've learned a lot and learned a bit about the individuals for the summer and that was always the intention for tonight."

England's will travel to Norway for their next friendly on Saturday, May 26.
