Nathaniel Clyne is hopeful that he can nail down a regular spot as England's right-back with strong performances against the Republic of Ireland and Slovenia this month.
The Southampton defender enjoyed an impressive 2014-15 campaign with the Saints and has been linked with moves to Manchester United and Liverpool.
The Three Lions face Ireland in a friendly in Dublin this Sunday, before taking on Slovenia away in a Euro 2016 qualifier seven days later.
"This is a good opportunity for me to go away and get more international experience," he told Sky Sports News.
"It's always an honour to be called up to play for your country so I am happy and looking forward to the two games coming up."
Clyne has four England caps since making his debut against Slovenia in 2014.
