Eddie Howe: 'Easy to ignore England speculation'

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe insists that he has not been distracted by speculation linking him to the newly-vacant England post.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has insisted that it has not been a problem to ignore speculation linking him to the England job in recent days.

Howe is one of number of names to have been linked with the post after Sam Allardyce was forced to step down just 67 days into his reign, although he has been quick to reiterate that his focus is on Bournemouth.

The Cherries twice blew leads against Watford at Vicarage Road on their way to a 2-2 draw this afternoon, but Howe stressed that his mind has not strayed from his club duties.

"It's been the easiest thing in the world for me. Football and the day-to-day workings of the job are what I love to do," Howe told reporters.

"So, no disrespect, I don't take a blind bit of notice of anything that is written or said because I have to focus on the football and the players I have here."

Bournemouth have now lost just one of their last five Premier League outings.
