England manager Roy Hodgson has promised to blood some of the younger players in the friendly against Italy in August.
The Three Lions will take on their Euro 2012 conquerors in Berne, Switzerland, three days before the start of the Premier League season.
The 64-year-old said that he will try to blend youth with experience for the World Cup qualifying campaign, which begins against Moldova on September 7.
"With regards to the friendly, you'll definitely see some revolution there," said Hodgson. "It is going to be the ideal opportunity for me to look at some players who weren't with us here and maybe feel they should have been.
"Many of those are the younger ones who we probably would have taken for the experience had they been fit.
"For the qualifiers, we'll have to mix what I've seen and know of the players who were here and what I've seen from Premier League football of the other lads."
England face Ukraine on September 11 in their second qualifying fixture.
