England, France friendly to be cancelled following Paris terror attacks

England's upcoming friendly with France is reportedly scrapped following the terror attacks in Paris.

Tuesday's friendly between France and England at Wembley has reportedly been cancelled after the multiple terror attacks in Paris tonight.

At least 40 people are believed to have lost their lives following a number of horrifying incidents across the French capital.

Three explosions were heard close to Stade de France during Les Bleus' 2-0 win over Germany, with reports indicating that the one closest to the stadium was a result of a suicide bombing.

Consequently, next week's clash in London will be scrapped according to L'Equipe, who tweeted: "The friendly match [between] England - France is suspended after the incidents around the Stade de France."

A Football Association spokesperson is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail: "It is a very serious and tragic matter. If there is any update on the match on Tuesday we will announce in due course.

"We will liaise with the French Federation over the weekend. The FA sends its deep condolences to the victims of this tragic event but to say anything else would be inappropriate."
