England drop two places to fifth in the FIFA world rankings after drawing with Hungary at Wembley earlier this month.

England have dropped to fifth place in the latest FIFA world rankings.

The Three Lions achieved their joint-highest ever position of third in September, but have now been leapfrogged by Nations League champions France and Euro 2020 winners Italy.

It comes after Gareth Southgate's team dropped points at home for the first time in the current World Cup qualifying campaign, drawing against Hungary.

Nonetheless, they remain in a strong position to qualify for the tournament in Qatar, with games against Albania and San Marino to come next month.

Belgium remain top of the rankings despite two defeats in the Nations League finals earlier this month, while Brazil are still second.

Wales remain 19th and Scotland have risen to 42nd, but the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland have both dropped to 51st and 58th respectively.
