Rose withdraws from England squad

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose has withdrawn from the England squad due to injury.

The 24-year-old had only been added to the squad on Saturday as a replacement for Luke Shaw, but he will now miss the forthcoming Euro 2016 qualifier against Lithuania on Friday and friendly against Italy on Tuesday.

Rose has yet to make an appearance for the England senior team, but played 29 times for the Under-21s.

He has made 88 appearances for Tottenham since joining in 2007.
