Joe Hart: 'We fear no-one'

Joe Hart claims that England fear no opposition ahead of England's quarter-final match against Italy on Sunday.

England number one Joe Hart has claimed that England do not fear anyone ahead of Sunday's quarter-final against Italy.

The Three Lions topped Group D with two wins and a draw to set up a quarter-final tie with Group C runners-up Italy.

At a press conference today, Hart spoke of the belief within the England camp.

"We're winners, [so] reaching the quarters isn't enough. We've not come here to keep people off our backs, we've come here to win and to make England proud. We want to leave having given it everything.

"[Italy] have got a very good team and very good history so it will be tough for whoever they play. We don't fear anyone."

Hart also gave his thoughts on his Manchester City teammate, striker Mario Balotelli.

"Mario's quite an extravagant guy and whatever's written about him won't affect him, he's not bothered and just lets things slide off him.

"Rooney and Mario are two different guys with the same goal, to win. A lot gets said about their off-field lives but they're both exceptional footballers and it will be good to see those two doing their thing on sunday.

"Balotelli could be a great threat, he's a great player. Joleon (Lescott) knows him too. It will be a great occasion. I've never played against the guy so it will be interesting to see what he brings to the table.

"Mario's a great guy, he does what he does and he's a great player. I don't think it's particularly on field people that push his buttons, we'll just be concentrating on our game and the italian team has some great players we'll need to keep an eye on."

England meet Italy for a place in the semi-finals of Euro 2012 on Sunday evening.
