Villarreal through to Copa del Rey last 16

Villarreal have progressed to the last 16 of the Copa del Rey with a narrow 3-2 aggregate victory over Elche.

The Yellow Submarine got the better of their La Liga rivals 1-0 at the Martinez Valero and that proved enough as the first leg had ended in a 2-2 draw.

Jeremy Perbet was the hero for Villarreal as it was his goal in the 56th minute that was the difference.

Jonathan Pereira came close to making it 2-0 10 minutes later but failed to get his shot past Tono.
