Rangers beat 10-man East Stirlingshire

Rangers beat 10-man East Stirling

Rangers needed a strong second-half performance to secure a 4-2 win over 10-man East Stirlingshire in the Scottish Third Division this afternoon.

Robbie Crawford put the visitors ahead after just five minutes, with Andy Little feeding in the cross to set up the goal.

The hosts got back on level terms in the 21st minute, after Andy Mitchell gave away a penalty, which Paul Quinn converted into the equaliser.

However, East Stirling were reduced to 10 men shortly after Kevin Turner was dismissed for a challenge on Ian Black.

The one-man advantage helped Rangers re-take the lead just before the half-time whistle, with David Templeton curling in a free kick from the edge of the penalty area.

Despite being a man down, the hosts were level again within the opening five minutes of the second half, as Quinn grabbed his second with a header from close range.

Black restored the visitors' lead by tapping in from a Little cross, before Templeton added his second with a powerful strike from deep inside the penalty area, sealing the win for the champions.
