New Doncaster Rovers deal for Richie Wellens

Veteran midfielder Richie Wellens has signed a new two-year contract with Doncaster Rovers.

The 34-year-old appeared to be leaving the club this summer after initial talks reportedly broke down, but he has now committed to the Yorkshire side until the end of next season.

Wellens joined Donny from Leicester City last summer, going on to make 37 league appearances as the club were relegated from the Championship.

This season he has made two appearances in all competitions.
