Derby County confirm Shaun Barker, Jamie Ward exits

Derby County have confirmed that Shaun Barker and Jamie Ward have been released by the club.

The duo are among seven players who have not had their contracts renewed by the Championship outfit.

Barker and Ward made nearly 260 appearances between them for the Rams.

Meanwhile, Derby have revealed that they are still in negotiations with veteran midfielder John Eustace over a new deal.

"Midfielder John Eustace has not been offered new terms at present but the club is continuing to review his situation," read a statement on their official website.

Manager Steve McClaren recently suggested that he is looking to make big changes to his squad this summer in order to boost their promotion hopes next season.
