Nigel Clough will let goalkeepers leave Derby County

Clough will let keepers leave

Derby County manager Nigel Clough has confirmed that he will allow both Frank Fielding and Adam Legzdins to leave the club this summer.

The keepers shared the responsibility between the posts last season, but following the arrival of Lee Grant from Burnley, Clough has conceded that neither Fielding nor Legzdins would be content to sit on the bench.

"If offers come in, Adam and Frank will both be allowed to leave," he told the Derby Telegraph. "We would love to keep one of them as the number two but they don't want to do that.

"Both have had a taste of first-team football. Once you have had that taste, you don't want to sit on the bench. I think they are two very good keepers with huge potential."

Fielding has recently been linked with a move to League One outfit Bristol City.
