Derby County come from two behind to win in injury time

Derby grab dramatic winner

Derby County came from two goals behind at half time to grab a dramatic 3-2 win against Yeovil Town, with Chris Martin scoring the winner in the 93rd minute.

The visitors defended valiantly in the opening quarter of an hour, blocking shots from Martin and John Eustace. When the former did manage to escape the attentions of the back four, he bent his 20-yard effort just over the bar.

For all of Derby's pressure, John Lundstram gave Yeovil the lead with a powerful strike from 25 yards midway through the first half.

Soon after, Martin saw his appeals for a penalty waved away as the home support became increasingly frustrated.

Ten minutes after Lundstram's opener, Ishmael Miller doubled the lead for Gary Johnson's side with a finish from a tight angle following a quick counter-attack.

Just five minutes after the break, Patrick Bamford scored his third goal in as many Rams appearances and reduced the deficit with a header from close range.

Kieffer Moore almost restored Yeovil's two-goal advantage, but Lee Grant clawed the striker's effort away. Grant was called into action again in the 58th minute to push Richard Keogh's header over the bar.

With the game opening up, Bamford struck the post with a curling effort from outside the box, and Craig Forsyth struck the bar soon after.

The home side finally got their equaliser after a period of heavy pressure when defender Craig Bryson swept the ball home inside the box.

Yeovil thought they had done enough to secure a point, but with virtually the last kick of the game, Martin nodded home to send the home support into delirium.
