Brighton & Hove Albion manager Oscar Garcia has insisted that his side did not deserve to lose to Derby County in the first leg of their playoff tie on Thursday night.
Despite taking an early lead at the Amex Stadium, Brighton could not avoid a 2-1 defeat, but Garcia was keen to be positive when speaking about his team's display after the match.
"It was a totally unfair result," the Spaniard told reporters. "We were better than them in all areas apart from the most important area, in front of goal.
"It's difficult to play the third best team in the league and the top scorers in the league. They are a very good side, so I'm really happy with the performance."
The second leg of the tie will take place on Sunday evening.
