Domingos has been named as the new coach of Deportivo La Coruna following the dismissal of Jose Luis Oltra.
Oltra was sacked on Sunday night with the club bottom of the La Liga table.
Former Braga and Sporting Lisbon boss Domingos will now take charge of the side until the end of the season.
Deportivo return to league action on January 5 when they host fourth-placed Malaga.
