Mallorca draw at Deportivo La Coruna in Copa del Rey

Deportivo La Coruna and Mallorca have played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Copa del Rey fourth-round match at the Riazor Stadium.

After a goalless first half, Manuel Pablo opened the scoring for the home side on 55 minutes when he fired in a spectacular half-volley from 25 yards following Mallorca's failure to clear their lines.

The visitors snatched an equaliser in the 71st minute as Pedro Geromel nodded in unmarked at the back post from a corner.

Mallorca will host Deportivo at the Iberostar Stadium for the second leg on November 28.
