Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock unhappy with Selhurst Park stadium announcer

Neil Warnock says that the Selhurst Park stadium announcer was "out of order" to reveal the winners' next League Cup opponent while Crystal Palace were still playing.

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has revealed that he made an enquiry after the Selhurst Park stadium announcer revealed who the club could possibly face in the next round of the Capital One Cup while they were still playing.

The Eagles took on Newcastle United on home turf in their third-round match on Wednesday night.

Before the final whistle blew in Palace's 3-2 defeat in extra time, the stadium announcer revealed that the winner of the game will face Manchester City in the next round.

"I felt it was out of order," Warnock told reporters. "I made an enquiry after the game because I was disappointed, if I'm honest.

"I think that's why they threw the last goal in, so they didn't go to Man City away."

Palace's focus now turns to this weekend's Premier League clash against Leicester City.
