Croatia manager Niko Kovac has revealed that Luka Modric is currently undergoing treatment on his foot after picking up an injury in the defeat to Brazil on Thursday.
The Real Madrid midfielder played the full 90 minutes in Sao Paulo, but his involvement in the remainder of Croatia's campaign has been thrown into doubt after he was forced to visit the hospital with the injury.
"Luka is in Salvador and our doctors are with him in the hospital," Kovac told HTV. "He has to go though some exams and then we will see how serious it is.
"God forbid that something serious happens to him. That would be a huge blow for us."
Croatia take on Cameroon on Wednesday night.
