Clinton Morrison apologises to Colchester fans for red card

Morrison apologises to U's

Colchester United frontman Clinton Morrison has apologised to fans after getting sent off in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy match at Northampton Town this evening.

The U's let slip a half-time lead at Sixfields before Morrison was dismissed before the whistle for violent conduct.

The former Crystal Palace and Birmingham striker took to Twitter soon after to apologise. He wrote: "Sorry to all the fans tonight I didn't think I touched him. I'm in a bad place at the moment."

The 33-year-old is now facing a three-match ban.
