Fire prevail in five-goal thriller
Chicago Fire record a stunning 3-2 victory over MLS Western Conference playoff rivals New England Revolution, thanks to a late goal from Alex.

Chicago Fire have twice come from behind to beat New England Revolution 3-2 in a dramatic contest at Toyota Park.

The result means that Frank Klopas and his men ascend above their opponents and now occupy a playoff spot in the MLS Eastern Conference.

Kelyn Rowe continued his fine form with a long-range shot that dipped viciously over goalkeeper Sean Johnson in the ninth minute.

The hosts drew level on the half-hour mark when Joel Lindpere fed Juan Anangono, who pierced the Revolution's defence to slide past Bobby Shuttleworth.

However, the visitors were back in front before the break thanks to Saer Sene, who thrashed a left-footed drive across Johnson in first-half injury time.

Once again they were pegged back, this time from Mike Magee's sweeping finish 10 minutes after the restart.

With five minutes left, Magee sent a corner into the box that was cleared as far as Alex, who smashed into the net from long range to snatch all three points for the home side.
