Gary Cahill excited for World Cup

England defender Gary Cahill admits that he is looking forward to playing at the World Cup in Brazil.

Gary Cahill has admitted that he is excited at the prospect of playing for England at this summer's World Cup in Brazil.

The Chelsea defender will play in his first major tournament for his country having missed Euro 2012 with a fractured jaw.

Cahill, who has established himself in the centre of defence alongside Everton's Phil Jagielka, has said that he is enjoying being an England regular.

"I feel a lot more experienced," TEAMtalk quotes him as saying.

"I feel I know the role a lot better, I feel that I'm kind of accepted on this stage and I still want to keep learning and pushing forward.

"Since I've come to Chelsea I've enjoyed it, it's gone really well for me, and I can't get wait to get started in my first major competition with England, which will be very exciting."

Cahill has won 23 caps for the Three Lions.
