Tammy Abraham 'wants Chelsea return'

Roma striker Tammy Abraham has eyed up a potential return to former club Chelsea in the future, according to a report.

The 24-year-old only moved to Rome last summer, with a deal of around £34m taking the striker to Italy from Stamford Bridge.

Abraham's debut campaign abroad has been a prolific one so far, having netted a total of 18 goals across 33 games in all competitions for Jose Mourinho's side.

Despite this, Corriere dello Sport are reporting that Abraham remains keen on a return to English football in the future, particularly to Chelsea.

The former Chelsea academy product had a breakthrough year under Frank Lampard in the 2019-20 season, when he scored 18 goals, but after Thomas Tuchel took over, Abraham struggled to break into the German's plans, before being sold to Roma back in August.

Chelsea inserted a buyback clause within the sale however, with a fee of around £68m being required to trigger a potential return to Stamford Bridge in the upcoming summer transfer window.
