Report: Stoke City turn down Chelsea offer for goalkeeper Asmir Begovic

Stoke City have turned down an offer from Chelsea for goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, according to reports.

Following Petr Cech's departure from Stamford Bridge to Arsenal, the Blues are said to have earmarked the Bosnian stopper to be Thibaut Courtois's understudy.

According to ESPN, a Blues bid thought to be in the region of £6m has been turned down by the Potters, who are holding out for a fee closer to £10m.

Begovic is also said to be on the radar of Aston Villa.
