Shakhtar Donetsk reject Chelsea bid for Willian

Shakhtar Donetsk have reportedly rebuffed a Chelsea bid in the region of £16.6m for Brazilian midfielder Willian.

The former Premier League champions were linked with a £20m move for the 23-year-old, who is known to play as a winger or an attacking midfielder.

While Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas attempted to quash rumours of a move for the playmaker, it appears that Chelsea have been unsuccessful in their first attempt to land the star, according to Sky Sports News.

Willian is also believed to have been the subject of interest from Arsenal during the summer.
