Report: Chelsea to make William Carvalho offer

Chelsea are reportedly preparing a big-money move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.

The Portugal international has been widely linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with Manchester United and Arsenal both believed to be preparing moves.

However, as it stands, neither has submitted an official offer for the central midfielder.

According to A Bola, Chelsea now lead the race and will make a £35m bid this week.

Carvalho is widely regarded as one of the best talents in the Portuguese league.
