Report: Atletico Madrid want Romelu Lukaku

A report claims that Atletico Madrid want to sign Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku this summer.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly preparing a move for Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian international recently revealed that he wants to depart the Blues this summer in search of regular first-team football.

According to Mundo Deportivo, with Atletico almost certain to lose Diego Costa to the Premier League side, the Spanish champions will attempt to sign Lukaku.

The powerful forward has thrived during the last two seasons on loan at West Bromwich Albion and Everton respectively, but Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is prepared to let the 21-year-old move on.

It is believed that Chelsea value Lukaku in the region of £20m, with Atletico's valuation not too far away from that price.
