John Obi Mikel's agent plays down Real Madrid link

The agent of Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has played down reports linking his client with a move to Real Madrid.

Various reports have claimed that Real Madrid are interested in signing the Nigerian international, who has made only 12 appearances for his current club this season.

However, Mikel's representative John Shittu has played down the rumours and insisted that the 28-year-old is fully focused on Chelsea.

"I can't talk about anything regarding reports linking John with Real Madrid because he's still a Chelsea player," Shittu told SL10.ng.

Mikel worked under Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti when the Italian was in charge at Stamford Bridge.
