Romelu Lukaku rejects West Ham United move?

West Ham United have failed in their bid to loan striker Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea, according to reports.

Lukaku scored 17 goals for West Bromwich Albion last season to help the Baggies achieve eighth position in the Premier League.

That resulted in the 20-year-old attracting plenty of interest for his signature, but according to The Express, Lukaku has opted to remain at Stamford Bridge after assurances from coach Jose Mourinho.

West Ham made their move for the Belgian international earlier this week, but they were soon rebuffed by the Stamford Bridge outfit.
