Lazio 'target cut-price deal for Chelsea's Ruben Loftus-Cheek'

Lazio have reportedly identified Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek as a potential transfer target.

Despite having now recovered from a ruptured Achilles tendon, Loftus-Cheek has not made a single competitive outing for the Blues since last May.

Providing that the current Premier League campaign resumes after the coronavirus pandemic, Frank Lampard will be keen to hand minutes to the England international.

However, according to Il Messaggero, Lazio are keen to sign the playmaker during the next window.

The Serie A title challengers are allegedly willing to pay £17.5m for the 24-year-old, who still has over four years left on his contract.

Chelsea are likely to wait to see how the academy graduate fares over the coming months before making a decision on his future.
