Inter Milan may reportedly put together a loan proposal for Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku during the summer transfer window.
Ahead of 2021-22, Inter allowed Lukaku to move to Stamford Bridge for £97.5m, the Belgium international penning a five-year contract.
However, the 28-year-old has never truly settled back into life in West London, going as far as admitting his unhappiness during an interview in December.
Given the transfer fee involved, Chelsea have little chance of recouping that figure, but according to Calciomercato, Inter could try their luck with a loan approach.
If Chelsea were to consider such an offer, the Serie A giants would have to pay a large loan fee, as well as accept having a mandatory or optional transfer fee being included in the deal.
Lukaku had previously enjoyed the best period of his career at Inter, scoring 64 goals from 95 appearances in all competitions and winning a Serie A title.
