Fikayo Tomori 'closing in on Chelsea exit'

AC Milan reportedly close in on a deal to sign out-of-favour Chelsea centre-back Fikayo Tomori on loan with an option to buy for £25m.

Chelsea outcast Fikayo Tomori is reportedly close to sealing a loan move to AC Milan.

The 23-year-old has only made four appearances for the Blues this term after falling behind Kurt Zouma, Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen in the Stamford Bridge pecking order.

Tomori has been linked with a switch to West Ham United in the past couple of months, but the centre-back now looks set to join Serie A leaders Milan on a temporary basis.

According to Sky Sports News, Chelsea and Milan are close to reaching an agreement over Tomori, who would join on loan with an option to buy for £25m.

The report adds that Strasbourg's Mohamed Simakan was initially the Rossoneri's top target, but with the 20-year-old now out with a long-term injury, Milan have turned their attention to a deal for Tomori.

The Chelsea man has played a mere 45 minutes of Premier League football this term and his only starts in the 2020-21 campaign have come in the EFL Cup.
