Chelsea transfer news: Fee 'confirmed' as German club confident of signing Blues duo

Fee 'confirmed' as German club confident of signing Chelsea duo within next 48 hours

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly confident of signing two Chelsea players within the next 48 hours.

Enzo Maresca is looking to bring in Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho this summer, and they are keen to offload unwanted players to make room for new additions.

The Blues could be willing to reintegrate Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku to their first-team squad if they fail to secure moves away from Stamford Bridge before the deadline day, but such terms do not apply to Carney Chukwuemeka.

The midfielder impressed for Dortmund on loan after joining them in the January transfer window, making 17 appearances in all competitions.

The German giants wanted to sign the England Under-20 international on loan, but Chelsea are adamant that they want to sell him permanently.

Dortmund confident of signing two Chelsea players

It has been reported recently that Serie A giants Juventus are interested in negotiating terms with Chelsea for Chukwuemeka, but it appears that he is heading towards Dortmund instead.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Dortmund have agreed a fee in the region of €20m (£17.3m) plus add-ons to sign the Chelsea midfielder.

Die Borussen are also confident of signing 20-year-old defender Aaron Anselmino from the same club, and they expect to complete both signings by Monday.

Chelsea reportedly gave Dortmund the condition that they will give the green light to Anselmino's loan departure if they agree to sign Chukwuemeka permanently, and the deals are close to being done.

Good for move all parties involved

Chelsea have reached a stage in the window where they must sell a few players to finalise deals for Garnacho and Simons.

Renato Veiga has already left the club to join Villarreal, but other out-of-favour players such as Axel Disasi, Nkunku, Jackson, Ben Chilwell, David Datro Fofana, and Raheem Sterling have yet to find new clubs.

The Blues initially slapped a £40m asking price for Chukwuemeka, but they will have to be satisfied with whatever money they are getting back.

The midfielder is eager to return to the German club, and a resolution looks realistic, considering the good business relationship the two clubs share.
