Chelsea 'to end Hazard interest due to Real's Rudiger pursuit'

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has allegedly been left 'angered' by Real Madrid's pursuit of Antonio Rudiger.

Despite pre-contract discussions not officially allowed to take place until January, it has been widely suggested that Los Blancos have already held discussions with the player's agent.

At a time when Chelsea are struggling to agree fresh terms with one of their key men, the 28-year-old allegedly regards Real as his first-choice option should he depart Stamford Bridge in the summer.

However, according to El Nacional, it could have ramifications for the Spanish giants attempting to part ways with Eden Hazard during one of the next two transfer windows.

The report claims that Abramovich is now prepared to drive a hard bargain during any negotiations for the Belgian playmaker, who Real value at £42m.

While it is debatable whether Chelsea would have ever been prepared to meet that demand, it is now claimed that a bid of that size is now out of the question.
