Chelsea allegedly consider joining the race to sign Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski.

Chelsea are allegedly planning to join the chase for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.

The Blues' interest in the Polish international was piqued when his agent Pini Zahavi earmarked them as a potential summer destination for his client, according to the Daily Star.

Real Madrid are said to be the frontrunners to secure Lewandowski's services if he chooses to leave Bayern, with Liverpool, Manchester United and now Chelsea making up the chasing pack.

The Bundesliga's top scorer is reportedly rated at around £70m, although Bayern have previously made it clear that they will attempt to resist bids for him.

Lewandowski has scored 27 goals in 27 league games this season.
