Chelsea 'reject Brighton's £10m Reece James bid'

Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly failed with a £10m bid for Chelsea defender Reece James.

The 19-year-old came through the youth system at Chelsea but is yet to make his first-team debut for the club.

The teenager has been in outstanding form on loan at Wigan Athletic this term, though, scoring three times and contributing three assists in 42 Championship appearances.

According to The Sun, Brighton launched a £10m offer for James, but Chelsea rejected the bid as they are not interested in selling the England Under-20 international.

James signed a new four-year contract with the Blues before leaving for Wigan last summer.
