Chelsea 'offer Alex Teixeira contract'

Chelsea have reportedly made a £24m offer to Shakhtar Donetsk for Alex Teixeira.

According to Football Insider, Guus Hiddink's side are keen to secure a deal for the services of the attacking midfielder this month.

The Brazilian has scored 22 goals in 15 league matches for the side so far this season, helping propel them to the top of the Ukrainian Premier League table.

The 26-year-old previously admitted that Chelsea were in "deep" negotiations but expected to move in the summer window instead.

Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have also been credited with an interest.
