Burnley have reportedly reached an agreement with Chelsea over the signing of Armando Broja.
The Albania international returned to Stamford Bridge after spending the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Everton.
Unfortunately for Broja, the loan spell was ruined by a couple of injury issues, restricting him to just 10 Premier League appearances for the Toffees.
Chelsea have had no plans to bring Broja back into the first-team setup, especially since they have bolstered their forward options with the additions of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.
Broja on verge of Chelsea exit
As a result, Broja has been left searching for a new club that can offer him the chance to play regular football at a high level.
According to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, the 23-year-old is now on the verge of completing a move to newly-promoted Burnley.
The Clarets have reached an agreement with Chelsea over a permanent transfer, with the striker set to put pen to paper on a long-term contract.
Broja has already been given permission to travel to Burnley to complete the first part of his medical ahead of the proposed move.
The Chelsea academy product is set to leave Stamford Bridge after scoring three goals in 38 first-team appearances.
Will Broja be able to revive his career at Burnley?
Having seen his development hampered by injury, Broja will hope that a move to Scott Parker's side can help him get his career back on track.
The positive for Broja is that there should not be too much pressure on his shoulders compared to playing at clubs the size of Chelsea and Everton.
Burnley will be targeting survival in their first season back in the Premier League, so there will be no unrealistic goal targets for their strikers.
With that said, Broja will still need to perform if he is to establish himself as a regular fixture in the starting lineup; otherwise, he could fall behind the likes of Zian Flemming and Lyle Foster in the pecking order.
