Bayern Munich are reportedly keen on a summer deal for Chelsea forward Timo Werner.
The 25-year-old was a regular for the Blues during the 2020-21 campaign, making 52 appearances in all competitions, providing 12 goals and 15 assists in the process.
Werner only scored six times in the Premier League, though, and Chelsea are allegedly determined to bring a new striker to the club during this summer's transfer window.
Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland and Bayern's Robert Lewandowski have both been linked with moves to Stamford Bridge, and the signing of a big-money forward would push Werner down the pecking order.
Chelsea are said to be looking to sell Werner, who is thought to be open to the idea of leaving the Champions League winners during this summer's transfer window.
According to Football Insider, Bayern have set their sights on the Germany international, as they look to sign cover and competition for Lewandowski amid the uncertainty surrounding his future.
Werner, who still has four years left to run on his contract with Thomas Tuchel's side, played under new Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann at RB Leipzig.
