Bayern 'allow Alaba to make decision on future'

Bayern Munich are reportedly prepared to allow David Alaba to make the final decision on his future.

While Alaba is regarded as a key man at the Allianz Arena, the versatile defender has just 12 months remaining on his contract.

According to The Mirror, Bayern are happy for the 28-year-old to leave the club this summer, providing that they receive a suitable fee.

Chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has previously acknowledged that the Bundesliga champions do not want to lose Alaba on a free transfer.

Bayern are likely to be consider offers in the region of £30m, the same they are looking for for midfielder Thiago Alcantara, who also has a year left on his existing deal.
