Bayern Munich 'allow David Alaba to make decision over Premier League move'

Bayern Munich are allegedly prepared to allow David Alaba to make the final decision on his future, amid speculation regarding a move to the Premier League.

Bayern Munich are reportedly prepared to allow David Alaba to make the final decision on his future.

While Alaba is regarded as a key man at the Allianz Arena, the versatile defender has just 12 months remaining on his contract.

That has led to speculation regarding the Austria international's next move as Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona contemplate approaches during the next transfer window.

According to The Mirror, Bayern are happy for the 28-year-old to leave the club this summer, providing that they receive a suitable fee.

Chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has previously acknowledged that the Bundesliga champions do not want to lose Alaba on a free transfer.

Bayern are likely to be consider offers in the region of £30m, the same they are looking for for midfielder Thiago Alcantara, who also has a year left on his existing deal.
