Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester City could line up for their Premier League clash with Chelsea on Saturday.

Manchester City will continue to cope without John Stones for their Premier League encounter with Chelsea at the Etihad on Saturday evening.

The former Everton man is serving the third and final game of a domestic suspension after being sent off as Aston Villa, so Aymeric Laporte should immediately be brought back in alongside the ever-impressive Ruben Dias.

After a gruelling 90 minutes against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, two fresh faces in Joao Cancelo and Benjamin Mendy could return out wide as Kyle Walker and Oleksandr Zinchenko make way.

Fernandinho's 36th birthday was one to remember against PSG, but the veteran midfielder may drop out for the returning Rodri, while Kevin De Bruyne will aspire to score for the fourth Premier League game in a row against his old employers.

Riyad Mahrez was the hero of the hour in midweek and should be rewarded with another start on the right, but Raheem Sterling is pushing for inclusion on the left over Phil Foden.

Should Pep Guardiola call upon one of his recognised number nines this weekend, Sergio Aguero - who boasts an astounding 15 goals in 21 games against Chelsea - ought to get the nod over Gabriel Jesus.

Man City possible starting lineup:
Ederson; Cancelo, Dias, Laporte, Mendy; Rodri, Gundogan, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Aguero, Sterling
