Team News: Chelsea make one change for West Ham United game, six return to squad

Chelsea make one change for West Ham game, six return to squad

Chelsea have made one change for Sunday's Premier League fixture against West Ham United, while Mauricio Pochettino is able to welcome six players back to his squad.

The Blues went into Thursday's game versus Tottenham Hotspur without 14 first-team players, effectively forcing Pochettino's hand when it came to his team selection.

On this occasion, the Argentine has opted to tinker with a defence that kept a clean sheet last time out, with Thiago Silva taking the spot of Alfie Gilchrist.

As a result, Trevoh Chalobah has been moved to right-back, with Silva partnering Benoit Badiashile in the middle.

Meanwhile, Malo Gusto, Axel Disasi, Levi Colwill, Raheem Sterling and Christopher Nkunku are all deemed fit enough to take a spot on the substitutes' bench.

Meanwhile, David Moyes has opted to select the same West Ham United XI that secured a 2-2 draw with Liverpool over a week ago.

Throughout that fixture, Moyes made just the one substitution, highlighting his satisfaction with the performance against the former Premier League title challengers.

The only alteration to the squad sees the injured Kalvin Phillips drop out and George Earthy return to the squad for the first time since suffering a head injury against Fulham last month.

Chelsea: Petrovic; Chalobah, Silva, Badiashile, Cucurella; Caicedo, Gallagher, Palmer; Madueke, Jackson, Mudryk

Subs: Bettinelli, Gusto, Gilchrist, Disasi, Colwill, Casadei, Sterling, Nkunku, Washington

West Ham United: Areola; Coufal, Zouma, Ogbonna, Emerson; Alvarez, Soucek, Paqueta; Kudus, Antonio, Bowen

Subs: Fabianski, Johnson, Cresswell, Ward-Prowse, Cornet, Ings, Earthy, Casey, Mubama
