Andre Villas-Boas praises the form of Fernando Torres and believes his goal drought will end soon.

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has said that he expects goals from his striker Fernando Torres.

Tonight marks the anniversary of the Spaniard's £50m move to Stamford Bridge from Liverpool.

Torres has scored just five goals in 43 matches for Chelsea, but has recently shown signs of improved form for the club. Despite this, the former Atletico Madrid player has still not scored in the league since September. However, Villas-Boas is optimistic about Torres' chances of ending his goal drought.

"I think we are seeing a player growing in terms of form," said the Portuguese coach.

"He has been helping the team. Fernando has one of the most assist totals for other players in the club, so he is producing for the team.

"Eventually we expect goals from it, and we hope those goals will come back. For the kind of effort he is doing, eventually it will be repaid."

Chelsea face Swansea City tonight in the Premier League.
