Ferdi Vierklau: 'Dominic Solanke is like Zlatan Ibrahimovic'

Ex-Vitesse Arnhem defender Ferdi Vierklau claims that Chelsea loanee Dominic Solanke is similar to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Former Vitesse Arnhem defender Ferdi Vierklau has claimed that Chelsea loanee Dominic Solanke is similar to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 18-year-old striker has scored three goals in eight appearances since joining the Eredivisie side on a season-long loan deal in the summer.

Vierklau has said that he is impressed with the way that Solanke can score goals with his individual skill.

"He's clinical. Sometimes, with the most impossible balls he knows how to do something beautiful from nothing," Goal.com quotes him as saying.

"In that way, he is reminiscent of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He's only 18-years-old and already doing so well. I expect he will only play one season as Chelsea will take him back and may want to loan him to an English club."

Chelsea have also sent youth prospects Isaiah Brown, Nathan, Danilo Pantic and Lewis Baker to Vitesse on loan deals.
