Terry wants to stay England captain

John Terry reportedly holds no desire to step down as England captain.

The Chelsea defender was charged by the Crown Prosecution Service on Wednesday over alleged racist remarks that he made towards Queens Park Rangers centre-back Anton Ferdinand during a match in October.

The 31-year-old intends to lead the national team out at Wembley against the Netherlands on Wednesday, February 29, according to BBC Sport.

Terry's first hearing at West London Magistrates is to take place on Wednesday, February 1.
