Daniel Sturridge has reportedly set his sights on the main striker role at Chelsea.
The 22-year-old is frustrated with his wide role and wants the chance to prove his worth up front in order to stake a claim for the England number nine shirt.
"Daniel has been to see Andre Villas-Boas to say he wants to be the main striker," The Sun quotes a Chelsea source as saying.
"He thinks his form and goals mean he should be first choice. He has also just broken into the England side and wants to give himself every chance of going to the Euro 2012 finals.
"Daniel thinks the best way to do that is to play in his best position - centre-forward."
Sturridge is currently out-scoring Chelsea's main strikers Fernando Torres and Didier Drogba, with seven goals to their combined six.
