Roma interested in Sarri appointment?

Roma have reportedly identified Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri as a potential managerial target.

Sarri only moved to Stamford Bridge in July, but the Italian is under pressure to keep his job after the Blues lost five of their last 10 games in all competitions.

However, it appears that Sarri may have an escape route, with La Repubblica claiming that Roma are interested in appointing the 60-year-old as their new boss at the end of the season.

The report says that Sarri has already met with Roma official Franco Baldini to discuss a possible switch to the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma currently sit in fifth place in the Serie A table and have won their last three games in all competitions, but a slow start to the season has put Eusebio Di Francesco's job at risk.
