Chelsea midfielder Ramires believes that Southampton will be "motivated" to get a result at Stamford Bridge this evening.

Chelsea midfielder Ramires has insisted that the Blues cannot rely on their past triumph over Southampton when they go head to head this evening.

The West London outfit secured a 5-1 win over the Saints in the FA Cup third round earlier this month, but Ramires believes that he and his teammates must expect a "difficult" contest in the Premier League.

"I believe they are going to be extra motivated because they have lost the last game against us at their home and they will want now to correct this result," Ramires told the club's official website.

"We can't expect an easy game despite the last result because we know it will be difficult after what happened there."

Chelsea currently sit third in the league table, 14 points adrift of leaders Manchester United.
