Manuel Pellegrini: 'Diego Costa not only Chelsea threat'

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini believes that striker Diego Costa is not the only Chelsea player that will test his side this weekend.

Manuel Pellegrini has said that that he is expecting to face a threat from more than just Diego Costa when Manchester City host Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend.

The Spaniard has scored seven goals so far this season, helping Jose Mourinho's side climb to the top of the table with a 100% record.

The manager of the defending champions told reporters: "I don't think Chelsea are just about Diego Costa. They have very good players and we will have to play a very good game if we want to win.

"They have started very well and they are playing very well. They have increased their squad with better players so for me, it is no surprise they are there.

"It is very important to win on Sunday, but there is a long way until the end of the season. This is just the fifth game and we have to play 38, so we will see what happens in the future."

Mourinho confirmed earlier that the striker will be available for the match, having sat out their Champions League fixture against Schalke 04earlier this week.
